Patrick Maloney is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inspire, where he is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and leads the execution of its mission to transform the way consumers access clean energy and accelerate a net zero carbon future. A lifelong entrepreneur in the energy and technology spaces, Patrick is dedicated to building world-positive businesses that align profitability with purpose. He founded Inspire with the vision to answer the call of millions of consumers demanding action on climate change by empowering them with the tools to make a sustainable impact. Patrick is a nationally recognized leader in the clean energy technology sector, having received numerous awards and recognition from the likes of Forbes, Fortune, FastCompany, and was selected as the 2018 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner in the Cleantech and Renewables category for his outstanding vision and achievement. In addition to his work at Inspire, Patrick is a member of YPO, a premier global community of chief executives committed to leading the world’s most impactful organizations, and is a frequent speaker and thought leader on impact and sustainability. Prior to Inspire, Patrick worked in venture capital and served on the founding teams of two of the fastest-growing and most successful ventures in the competitive energy landscape.
President and COO
Brad Bentley is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Inspire. In this role, Brad leads marketing, sales, business development and finance to ensure the delivery of the company's strategic roadmap as the company scales its comprehensive clean energy and connected home subscription products nation-wide. Passionate about finding ways to make a positive impact in the world, he brings a relentless focus on both consumers and technology. He is dedicated to amplifying Inspire’s momentum by creating a world where every home has access to clean energy solutions. Brad is also involved with a number of socially-driven organizations, holding a leadership role at the Global Impact Council of the World Food Programme and the Executive Business Committee at Duke Cancer Institute.
Mike Durst is the Chief Technology Officer of Inspire, owning the company’s end to end engineering operations, product, product design, and infrastructure. Mike is a passionate technologist with a love for bootstrapping companies, writing scalable software and building great technology teams, from inception to execution and optimization. As CTO, he manages Inspire’s technology team of engineers, data scientists, programmers, and product directors and designers to develop and innovate Inspire’s connected home app and software. His leadership over this diverse, cross-functional team aligns product, design, and engineering – a crucial collaboration at Inspire. Mike is dedicated to making Inspire’s technology best-in-class in order to drive meaningful action on climate change while providing an amazing consumer experience. Prior to joining Inspire, Mike was the Technology Director at NRG, where he developed the technology infrastructure for a clean energy startup, Independence Energy, later acquired by NRG. He also built the marketing and energy fulfillment software platform that supported the high growth of the business.
Blake Lasuzzo is the Chief Commercial Officer at Inspire. As CCO, Blake drives the strategic vision and execution of Inspire's proprietary artificial intelligence platform and operating system, which powers everything from core business operations and clean energy procurement, to the company’s signature personalized subscription plans and smart home automation services. In addition, Blake is focused on unlocking new strategic initiatives to enable Inspire's business model, including the expansion of existing and launching of new products and services to broaden Inspires' reach. Prior to joining Inspire, Blake has held a variety of leadership positions in the energy sector. He started his career at Enron and, most recently, served as Senior Vice President at Just Energy where he oversaw portfolio management, applied modeling, and commercial application of emerging technology globally.
EVP Sales & Business Development
Mike Courtney is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Inspire. In this role, Mike oversees Inspire’s sales business development and customer experience efforts. Mike’s focus includes cultivating deeper customer and resale partner relationships, deploying new sales channels, and expanding the company’s go-to-market strategy. Mike joined Inspire with the drive to accelerate the company’s trajectory and further its critical mission of making clean energy accessible to every home in America. Mike brings more than two decades of leadership experience from working across functional business areas to launch successful revenue-generating programs that accelerate growth. Mike has held various sales, strategy, and GM leadership positions in Fortune 10, VC-backed, and mid-market companies. Most recently, during his tenure at AT&T, Mike was tasked to lead growth turn-arounds and stand up new strategy organizations including Consumer D2D Sales, Indirect Strategy and Business Development, Cross Channel Sales Strategy, and the Indirect Dealer Channel. Prior to AT&T, Mike served as the Vice President of National Dealer Sales at DIRECTV, where he turned the company’s smallest channel at the time into its largest and fastest-growing, with over $2 billion in sales, while increasing subscriber value by 40%.
Chief Growth Officer
Craig Shirk is the Chief Growth Officer at Inspire. In this role, Craig oversees Inspire’s digital and direct marketing efforts and the business insight and analytics organization. Craig’s focus includes developing and scaling a direct-to-consumer marketing organization, furthering Inspire’s mission to create a net-zero carbon future by accelerating and growing Inspire’s clean energy customer base via performance marketing channels and building a business insights and analytics team to support a data-driven, performance oriented culture. Prior to Inspire, Craig spent over 20 years with professional services and Fortune 100 organizations, holding various executive level roles in performance and retention marketing, strategy, analytics and media measurement.
SVP Brand Marketing & Communications
Suzanne Seymour is the Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications at Inspire. In her role, she is responsible for driving consumer awareness of the company utilizing integrated strategies informed by creative and analytical thinking. Suzanne manages a team of excellence that leads the storytelling of Inspire's mission, values, and products through engaging campaigns, compelling content, and programs that demonstrate the company’s commitment to accelerating a net-zero carbon future. She also oversees Inspire's corporate and consumer communications efforts. Prior to Inspire, Suzanne served as Head of Marketing and Communications for Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo and held numerous leadership positions in the Beauty industry at Kiehl's and Estée Lauder.
